It's Deb here......

Hey everyone! I just wanted to hijack Bill's blog real quick so that everyone doesn't worry. Bill's been unusually tired over the last few days, sleeping most of the day away. So far, things look ok - he went in for some blood work for a headache, fatigue and some "flushing" like symptoms he was getting throughout his body earlier this week. He "feels" fine, but he's just REALLY tired. It's odd to see him sleep so much, but we're both thinking that this might be a real delayed reaction to the chemotherapy. He's had some congestion and a plugged ear, which is bugging him the most. The headache is gone and no more episodes of that "flushing" all over feeling. He's also been tapering down his steroids recently, which he's happy about.

We had a nurse from UCSF come to the house on Tuesday to conduct an interview with Billy for the Adult Glioma study out of UCSF which is second only to Duke University for the type of tumor Billy had, she was great! She had A LOT of questions and took A LOT of blood and a cheek swab, it was actually pretty interesting. We'll go to the clinic again tomorrow to check his blood thinner levels. I'll keep an eye out for him over the next few days to see if his energy level picks up or at least stays the same. He's pretty annoyed with me continually asking "are you ok?" But, that's my job!!!

The boys are back at school, and happy to see all of their friends on a regular basis. Thanks for everyone's good juju thoughts and wishes. Even if it's not a post from Bill, we'll keep you all posted.

Love and gratitude!!

Deb

Hi
Sorry to hear Bill is having a few problems BUT I am really glad to hear that you got involved with ucsf program. I hear the one here at Duke is very worthwhile and one of my neighbors son-in-law participates in it.Debbie, please know that you are doing an incredible job and just want you to know that the prayers are still with all of you everyday. Love Auntie Barbara
