Both the boys had games today, back to back, so it was a nice long day of baseball. The weather was great with the sun coming out about an hour into Logan's game.
Logan and the Cubs were at 9:30am. They've been struggling this season and were playing the Southern Mariners today. Logan was 2-3 with 2 singles and a strikout. He played shortstop, made all chances to him, and then came in to pitch to the last batter because the starting pitcher reached his pitch count limit. Logan struck him out on 4 pitches to end the game, the Cubs winning 6-1.
Connor was up next against the Los Altos Marlins. With his hurt pinky, Connor started behind the dish. His throws seemed to be good and on target, so the finger wasn't hurting his throwing. His hitting however was a bit more of a struggle since it was the pinky that was on the bottom of the bat and he couldn't get as much power as he usually does. 3 groundouts was all he could do from the plate. He then came into pitch. We were surprised and a bit worried, but he struck out 5 batters in 2 innings and gave up a couple of hits. His team couldn't muster much offense and they lost 4-2.
The season is winding down for both teams. We'll be finished with the regular season by next Saturday. Logan's team won't have a post season games, so the next option for him would be to make the 11-12 All Star team. Connor's team will be beginning a league wide double elimination tournament, then will move into All-Stars.

Hi Billy,
Look like Joel & I has the opposite weekend as you. Joel played poker on Saturday night (he lost), and we went to the A's game on Friday night (THEY also lost, and it was COLD)! I bet Connor watched this game, it was kind of a boring one.
Hope this week is the start of a good week for you! Talk to you soon, Love Tam
