Latest Update

We went to visit Dr. Tai today to discuss the results from my MRI last week at Stanford with Dr. Chang. The survey says......to be continued.

Apparently Dr. Chang was unable to contact Dr. Tai and discuss plans for future treatment. Here's my take; we met with Dr. Chang last Wednesday and when he showed us the scans, he pointed out a few new areas that he was concerned about. He was going to discuss this with Dr. Tai prior to my appointment today. Today, we all (Me, Deb, my Mom & Dr. Tai) sat in his office to look at the scans. Dr. Tai pointed towards a few things, (leaking spinal fluid being one of them) that he wanted his staff to review before making any decision and the strange thing was that we were unable to find the problem areas that Dr. Chang had pointed out last week.

If you're asking me, I'm with Tai and I'll stick my head in the sand and agree that I didn't see anything either. My guess is that we were looking at the wrong MRI last week. A guys gotta have something to root for! Dr. Tai even tells me how great I am doing and I agree with him.

Deb's version: before any radical treatment starts, we need to be certain of what's going on - and while this is the right thing to do, it's painful to do more waiting. But, getting the facts straight and a plan that is safe and agreeable to Bill is priority. Stay tuned!!
